About the role#
As a Financial Analyst Intern, you will support the Finance and Accounting team by assisting with financial reporting, budgeting, data analysis, and accounting support. You will report to the FP&A Manager and work with financial and operational data from across the organization. This role provides exposure to how finance and accounting support a commercial real estate investment company. You will interact with professionals across several functions, including Transactions, Asset Management, Land, and Development.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the preparation and analysis of budgets, financial reports, reconciliations, and accounting schedules.
- Analyze financial and operational results to identify trends, variances, and key business drivers.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and periodic financial reporting processes.
- Compile, organize, and validate financial data from multiple sources.
- Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, and other business teams to gather information and better understand financial performance.
- Help prepare financial summaries, presentations, and other materials for management.
- Support the development and maintenance of financial reports, dashboards, and related analysis tools.
- Assist with process improvement, reporting efficiency, and accounting workflow initiatives.
- Participate in special projects and ad hoc finance and accounting analyses.
What you'll need#
- Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy.
- Pursuing or nearing completion of a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, economics, or a related field.
- Strong Excel skills and comfort working with financial and operational data.
- Understanding of fundamental accounting and financial concepts.
- Ability to prioritize assignments, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to produce reliable work.
