About the role#
As an Estimating Intern at The Boldt Company, you will gain hands-on experience supporting the preconstruction process for a variety of construction projects. You will work alongside experienced estimators and project teams to prepare cost estimates and proposals. This role provides exposure to industry-standard estimating tools and the critical process of bringing projects from concept to construction.
What you'll do#
- Support the preconstruction process for various construction projects.
- Prepare cost estimates and proposals.
- Review drawings and specifications.
- Analyze historical project data to help develop accurate budgets and project plans.
- Participate in collaborative project planning.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior or Senior in an undergraduate program at an accredited college or university.
- Preferred majors include Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related fields.
- A desire to work in the construction industry.
- Strong communication skills, including comfort with making cold and warm phone calls to build relationships.
- Goal-oriented mindset with a focus on personal development.
- Evidence of high academic achievement.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
- Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision.
- Current or prior elected leadership experience is preferred.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
