About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience across multiple HR functions at The Boelter Companies. You will work with the team to support day-to-day operations and assist with administrative, employee-facing, and project-based tasks. This role is designed for a student who wants to build a foundation for a career in human resources.
What you'll do#
- Conduct and coordinate new hire orientations.
- Enter payroll-related transactions to assist with processing.
- Support recruiting by posting positions and reviewing applications.
- Draft and distribute internal HR communications and new hire announcements.
- Coordinate employee events and recognition programs.
- Manage department mail and respond to associate inquiries.
- Assist with projects related to wellness, training, and organizational development.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and organizational ability.
- Capability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Initiative and a willingness to work collaboratively.
Location & details#
- Location: Waukesha, Wisconsin.
- Schedule: Approximately 15 hours per week on-site.
- Flexibility: We adjust schedules to accommodate academic commitments.
- Status: This is a paid internship.
