About the role#
This position is for students who participated in the 2026 Aerospace Internship Program. You are applying to return to the same role you held during your previous internship. This is a paid, full-time summer opportunity lasting at least 10 weeks.
What you'll do#
- Participate with an interdisciplinary team in ongoing research or technical programs.
- Apply standard techniques and procedures to carry out scientific or engineering tasks.
- Work alongside mentors to contribute to projects within your assigned organization.
What you'll need#
- Must have completed an internship at The Aerospace Corporation in 2026.
- Currently enrolled full-time in an accredited college or university program pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree.
- Relevant majors include Aerospace Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Mathematics, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Availability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks outside of your university term.
- Ability to return to a degree program full-time after the internship ends.
- U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a government-issued security clearance.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and coordinate efforts across organizations.
- Organizational, time management, and project management skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing organizational needs.
- Submission of transcripts is required.

- This is an on-site position.
- Locations include El Segundo, CA; Huntsville, AL; Crystal City, VA; Houston, TX; Goddard SFC, MD; Colorado Springs, CO; Chantilly, VA; Vandenberg SFB, CA; Albuquerque, NM; and Silver Spring, MD.
