About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship based in Fort Worth, Texas. You will work on-site to support gear manufacturing operations. Please note that this position has a maximum duration of two years.
What you'll do#
- Set up and operate gear manufacturing equipment, including gear cutters, grinders, shavers, and lapping machines.
- Produce various gears and splines, such as spiral bevel, helical, and hypoid gears.
- Maintain extremely close tolerances during setup and production.
- Perform grinding on case hardened surfaces.
- Use precision-measuring instruments and machinists hand tools to test and check gears.
- Assist with the development of new gears and manufacturing processes.
What you'll need#
- Two years of experience in gear manufacturing or equivalent technical education.
- Status as a U.S. person as defined by ITAR. This includes U.S. Citizens, Permanent Residents, Asylees, or Refugees.
