About the role#
As a Technical Program Manager Intern on the Energy Software team, you will work on software for power generation, energy storage, vehicle charging, grid services, and AI. You will report to the Director of Energy Software and work alongside software engineers, product development teams, and engineering groups to drive key projects to completion.
What you'll do#
- Drive software planning and programs across daily, weekly, and monthly timelines.
- Interface with product leaders to ensure alignment on key initiatives.
- Consolidate inputs from various teams into executive reviews that identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Increase engineering team velocity by limiting work in progress and reducing context switching.
- Provide project leadership to foster collaboration and solve critical problems.
- Enable distributed decision making by driving alignment of strategic goals.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A strong sense of urgency in achieving goals through high velocity engineering.
- Ability to rapidly understand high level software and engineering concepts as they apply to program execution.
- A focus on principled, strategic problem solving.
- Interest in solving problems at the intersection of products, engineering, and organizations.
Location & details#
- Location: Palo Alto, California.
- Term: Winter 2027 and Summer 2027.
- Modality: On-site, full-time (40 hours per week).
- This is a paid internship.
