About the role#
The Onboard Diagnostics Team builds diagnostic and repair firmware for vehicles. We focus on making vehicle-side diagnostics faster and more reliable for service centers. You will join a team responsible for real-time diagnostic support and the development of tools that help improve current and future products.
What you'll do#
- Build rapid prototypes and mockups for in-vehicle service experiences.
- Design, code, and debug user interfaces and APIs.
- Develop end-to-end tests for diagnostic tools.
- Work with cross-functional teams of hardware and software engineers.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Graduation date between December 2027 and December 2028.
- Proficiency with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
- Experience with Rust and C/C++.
- Knowledge of Linux or Unix systems.
- A proactive approach to technical work.
- Experience with Figma, Svelte, or Three.js is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: Palo Alto, California.
- Term: Winter 2027 and Spring 2027.
- Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week), on-site.
- Duration: Minimum of 12 weeks.
- Compensation: $50.48 to $58.89 per hour plus benefits.
