About the role#
As a Software QA Engineer intern, you will join the Vehicle Software team to help validate the quality of Tesla user interface and vehicle software. You will work alongside internal engineering teams to support the design, development, and launch of vehicle products. This role requires you to take ownership of projects and contribute to the success of our software testing strategies.
What you'll do#
- Create test plans to validate user interface software and improve vehicle testing strategies.
- Write and implement scripts to automate user interface workflows.
- Build frameworks to optimize automation pipelines and report results.
- Verify vehicle functionality and ensure software updates integrate correctly.
- Investigate issues reported from the field and perform root-cause analysis with the team.
- Run functional and regression tests to validate software releases.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Computer Science or related degree program.
- Expected graduation date between 2027 and 2028.
- Experience with software testing, automation scripting in Python or C++, and test framework design.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD processes.
- Interest in electric vehicles and problem-solving.
Location & details#
- Location: Palo Alto, California.
- Terms: Winter 2027 and Summer 2027.
- Modality: On-site, full-time (40 hours per week).
- Duration: Minimum 12 weeks.
- Compensation: $42.00 - $58.00 per hour plus benefits.
