About the role#
As a Service Technician Trainee intern, you will work on-site at our service center to perform hands-on maintenance and repairs on Tesla electric vehicles. This is a full-time, paid internship for the Fall 2026 term. You will learn about our technology while supporting the daily operations of our service team in a customer-facing environment.
What you'll do#
- Inspect, repair, and service electric vehicles.
- Use a variety of hand, power, and shop tools.
- Conduct equipment inspections, adjustments, and certifications.
- Perform Pre-Delivery Inspections on new vehicles.
- Track inventory, parts, and shop supplies while maintaining accurate time records.
- Assist with vehicle cleanliness for customer cars.
- Support Parts and Front of House operations on a rotational basis.
What you'll need#
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair techniques.
- A valid driver license and the ability to report to the local service center.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
- A safety-first attitude and the ability to work well in a team.
- Basic computer skills, including experience with web browsers and Microsoft Office programs like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with the English language.
- Current enrollment in an Automotive program is preferred.
