About the role#
As a Service Technician Trainee intern, you will work at a service center to support the maintenance and repair of electric vehicles. This is a full-time, on-site position for the Fall 2026 term. You will gain hands-on experience with vehicle systems and assist in daily shop operations.
What you'll do#
- Perform entry-level inspection, repair, and service on electric vehicles.
- Use a variety of hand, power, and shop tools.
- Conduct equipment inspections, adjustments, and certifications.
- Complete Pre-Delivery Inspections on new vehicles.
- Track inventory, time records, shop supplies, and parts.
- Keep customer vehicles clean.
- Support Parts and Front of House operations on a rotational basis.
What you'll need#
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair techniques.
- Current enrollment in an Automotive program is preferred.
- A valid driver license.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
- Basic computer skills, including web browsers and Microsoft Office applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- A safety-first attitude and the ability to work well in a team.
- Familiarity with the English language.
- Ability to report to the local service center as needed.
