About the role#
As a Service Technician Trainee intern, you will work at a Tesla service center to support the maintenance and repair of electric vehicles. This role involves hands-on tasks and direct interaction with customers, requiring strong communication skills. You will gain experience with electric vehicle technology while contributing to the daily operations of the service team.
What you'll do#
- Inspect, repair, and service Tesla electric vehicles.
- Operate various hand, power, and shop tools.
- Perform Pre-Delivery Inspections on new cars.
- Conduct equipment inspections, adjustments, and certifications.
- Manage inventory, track time, and handle shop supplies or parts.
- Assist with vehicle cleanliness for customer cars.
- Support Parts and Front of House operations as needed.
What you'll need#
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair techniques.
- Current enrollment in an automotive program is preferred.
- A valid driver license.
- The ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
- Basic computer skills, including web browsers and Microsoft Office applications.
- A safety-first attitude and the ability to work well in a team.
- Familiarity with the English language.
- The ability to report to your assigned service center as needed.
