About the role#
The Vehicle Software team builds the primary interface for Tesla vehicles. This includes productivity apps, media streaming, autopilot visualization, and video games. You will help develop and refine the software that millions of customers interact with daily.
What you'll do#
- Build features from the ground up for vehicle releases.
- Design, architect, implement, and debug game platform interfaces and systems using C++.
- Prototype and own in-car customer experiences.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team of software engineers, QA, designers, hardware engineers, and game developers.
- Coordinate with game development and publishing partners to improve user experience.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field, with a graduation date between 2027 and 2028.
- Strong proficiency in C++ and a solid grasp of fundamental computer science concepts.
- Experience writing and shipping customer-facing code.
- Experience working with multithreaded applications and common software design patterns.
- A willingness to learn new technologies across the stack.
- Experience building user interfaces or consumer-facing applications is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: Palo Alto, California.
- Modality: On-site, full-time (40 hours per week).
- Term: Winter 2027 through Spring 2027.
- Compensation: $40.00 - $56.00 per hour plus benefits.
- This program is for students actively enrolled in an academic program.
