About the role#
As an intern on the Energy Device Core Software Team, you will focus on integration and regression testing for embedded Linux hardware. This role involves building scalable test infrastructure to support our product lines and ensuring the quality of embedded Linux code through rigorous validation.
What you'll do#
- Design and implement scalable regression testing frameworks for embedded Linux platforms.
- Integrate testing workflows with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and PyTest.
- Build and maintain HIL and SIL test environments.
- Collaborate with system software and BSP engineers to validate hardware-software interactions and debug complex issues.
- Develop AI-driven tools to analyze test data, predict failures, and automate triage workflows.
- Partner with QA and test automation teams to define test strategies.
- Validate codebase changes to ensure the quality of shipped embedded Linux code.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD systems like Jenkins and test frameworks like PyTest.
- Experience with HIL and SIL testing.
- Basic understanding of Linux and embedded hardware debugging.
- Familiarity with Golang or Rust is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: Palo Alto, California.
- Term: Winter 2027 or Summer 2027.
- Commitment: Full-time (40 hours per week), on-site, for a minimum of 12 weeks.
- Compensation: $20.00 to $50.00 per hour plus benefits.
