About the role#
This internship focuses on radio frequency and electronic design engineering. You will join teams working on antenna solutions, audio systems, electromagnetic compatibility, radio tuner development, and wireless hardware. This program requires a full-time, on-site commitment for at least 12 weeks. The role starts in January 2027 and runs through the Spring term, with the possibility of extending into the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Design, integrate, test, and support production of antenna solutions.
- Manage audio system integration and quality from transducers to software.
- Perform product design, simulation, debugging, and testing for electromagnetic compatibility at both the module and vehicle levels.
- Conduct radio tuner product development activities.
- Develop and test electrical systems for audio products, including acoustic simulations.
- Design, develop, and test hardware systems for UWB, WiFi, and Bluetooth connectivity.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an academic program for Electromagnetics, Radio Frequency Engineering, Antenna Design, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python, NumPy, MATLAB, or C/C++ for modeling and analysis.
- Practical experience with radio frequency, analog, and digital circuit design.
- Experience with PCB design and component selection.
- Ability to use test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, Vector Network Analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and arbitrary waveform generators.
- Familiarity with EM 3D design tools is helpful.
- Understanding of acoustics, acoustic measurement, and digital signal processing principles like audio format filtering.
- Skills in data analysis, report writing, and presenting findings.
Location & details#
- Locations: Palo Alto, California and Fremont, California.
- Modality: This is an on-site position.
- Status: Full-time internship.
