About the role#
TerraCycle is seeking two Industrial Design Interns to join the team starting in September. This role focuses on upcycling and creative production, involving projects such as gamified collection bins, recycled products, art pieces, and DIY initiatives. Interns will also assist in the development of large-scale art and sculptures for global brands, working alongside artist EdE Sinkovics to create eco-minded experiences.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with team members to generate creative ideas.
- Support the full creative process from initial ideation through to final production.
- Execute design concepts that align with project requirements and company standards.
- Manage administrative tasks related to ongoing projects.
- Complete additional projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or equivalent GED.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- A portfolio or proof of work.
- Intermediate skills in Google Suite, specifically Slides.
- Strong written, oral, and digital communication skills.
- Ability to commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week.
- Experience with woodshop tools, power tools, laser cutters, painting, or industrial sewing machines is a plus.
