About the role#
Teradyne is hiring an Embedded Design Intern for the Fall 2026 term. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Pilot Mountain, North Carolina. You will work with lead engineers to support the product development cycle within our Nextest division.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the concept, design, analysis, documentation, and prototype assembly of electro-mechanical systems, tooling, and fixtures.
- Contribute to electrical mechanical design tasks, including PCB design and embedded controller programming.
- Support mechanical system integration, wiring, and circuit design.
- Work on specific project areas such as AC power distribution, system monitoring, and controls design.
What you'll need#
- You must be a senior-level student pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA in relevant engineering coursework is required.
- Familiarity with schematic capture software.
- Experience with 3D CAD using SolidWorks.
- Practical experience with microcontroller programming.
