About the role#
TensorWave is looking for a Software Engineering Intern to join our team. You will work with a small engineering group to build systems that power AI compute. This role involves working on production challenges in a GPU cloud environment, gaining experience with bare-metal infrastructure, distributed systems, and the AMD ROCm ecosystem.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with senior engineers on features for our cloud control plane, orchestration layer, user-facing APIs, or internal tooling.
- Work on automation, monitoring, and observability for GPU clusters in Slurm and Kubernetes-native environments.
- Participate in debugging performance bottlenecks in high-throughput inference or distributed training pipelines.
- Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews.
- Learn how bare-metal AI clouds operate at scale, from hardware partitioning to high-speed networking and storage.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- Experience or coursework relevant to cloud infrastructure, AI-ML systems, or performance optimization.
- Ability to collaborate on cloud control planes, orchestration layers, and user-facing APIs.
- Familiarity with GPU cluster automation and monitoring.
- Experience debugging performance bottlenecks.
- Ability to write clean, tested code and participate in code reviews.
Location & details#
- Location: Las Vegas, Nevada.
- Term: Summer 2027 (12 weeks).
- Type: Full-time, on-site, paid internship.
- Schedule: Tuesday through Friday, 8 hours per day.
