About the role#
TensorWave is looking for a Security Engineer Intern to join our team in Las Vegas. You will work directly with our engineers to protect our systems. This role involves building a new Threat Modeling Program from the ground up and assisting with daily security operations.
What you'll do#
- Launch a brand-new Threat Modeling Program to identify and fix vulnerabilities before they are exploited.
- Assist with Risk Management, Audit, and Governance to help maintain security standards.
- Secure both cloud-based systems and on-premise hardware located in our data centers.
- Perform root cause analysis to solve network issues and identify security holes.
- Write scripts in Bash, Python, or PowerShell to automate routine tasks.
- Conduct lab testing using security tools to find vulnerabilities and suggest patches.
What you'll need#
- At least 2 years of college or trade school in Nevada, or 2 years of hands-on experience in networking, security, or computer science while currently enrolled in a Nevada institution.
- Pursuing a degree or certificate in Computer Science, Networking, Programming, Cyber, or a related field.
- A self-starter attitude with a history of setting and hitting personal goals.
- A solid understanding of networking basics.
- Ability to write basic scripts or programs.
- Hands-on experience with network simulators, coding sites, or cybersecurity capture the flag platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team.

- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- The role is based on-site in Las Vegas, Nevada.
- We offer a rolling start date.
