About the role#
This is a full-time internship for Summer 2027 within the Allstate Technology Solutions team. You will work remotely while contributing to engineering and product management tasks. This role is open to students pursuing degrees in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
What you'll do#
- Engage in tasks focused on engineering excellence.
- Participate in discovery, framing, and iteration planning meetings.
- Apply new technology and adopt current consumer trends.
- Collaborate with team members to support digital products and experiences.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency in programming languages and an interest in developing across various tech stacks.
- Interest in automation, root cause analysis, and incident management.
- Familiarity with design principles like SOLID and a bias toward functional and non-functional requirements.
- Understanding of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and consumer-centric design thinking.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated emotional intelligence and empathy for fellow engineers.
- Creative problem-solving skills.
Location & details#
- This position is fully remote.
- You must have a dedicated, private workspace free from distractions.
- Reliable internet is required with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload.
