About the role#
This internship provides practical experience in the property and casualty insurance business. You will work with experienced professionals on independent projects and daily assignments. The program includes a training initiative and mentoring to help prepare you for a career as an Actuary. This is a paid, full-time position.
What you'll do#
- Review rates for assigned states and product lines.
- Analyze profit and loss results and project underwriting losses.
- Review the competitiveness of current rates.
- Complete detailed analyses and provide recommendations.
- Prepare internal and external communications for management and regulatory authorities.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, or Economics.
- Strong academic standing with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Currently pursuing an actuarial designation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.
- Ability to analyze data and make sound decisions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Location & details#
- This is a remote role based in the United States.
- The internship lasts 12 weeks during the Summer of 2026.
- Start dates are May 17, 2027, or June 14, 2027.
