About the role#
Tempo Innovations is seeking a motivated IT Operations & Security Intern to join our team in San Diego. This internship offers hands-on experience in corporate networking, identity management, and employee access. You will work directly with our cloud IT stack, participate in security training, and manage our fleet of corporate and IoT devices. This is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Administer users, security groups, and application access through Okta and Google Workspace.
- Diagnose and resolve Tier 1 and Tier 2 helpdesk tickets regarding system access and network connectivity.
- Deploy and maintain office IoT endpoints, including A/V hardware and digital signage.
- Complete guided training modules on core security stacks and monitor endpoints using Hexnode, CrowdStrike, and Google SecOps.
- Assist in the administration and troubleshooting of Ubiquiti network infrastructure and physical badge access control systems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A fundamental understanding of core networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and Wi-Fi.
- Basic familiarity with cloud productivity suites like Google Workspace or Microsoft 365.
- A strong analytical mindset with a genuine curiosity for troubleshooting technical issues.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-service-oriented approach.
