About the role#
Teledyne is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to join the Electrical Design Team in Miamisburg, Ohio. This role supports the development of Electronic Safe and Arm Devices and Ignition Safety Devices for weapon systems. You will work alongside technical staff to contribute to design projects, testing, and product development.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the conceptual and detail design of safety and ignition devices.
- Perform simulations for electronic circuits ranging from simple to complex.
- Conduct performance testing and assess product manufacturability.
- Prepare engineering specifications, parts lists, and technical reports.
- Perform tolerance studies and select electronic components while accounting for thermal, shock, and vibration stress.
- Participate in design reviews, pre-production builds, and product debugging.
- Plan test procedures and conduct laboratory experiments to interpret results.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Electrical Engineering degree program or a similar discipline.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Experience or training in the design and development of analog circuits.
- Knowledge of electronic design software, specifically Altium, OrCAD, or PSpice.
- U.S. citizenship is required due to Department of Energy regulations.
- Experience with military high reliability programs and standards is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail.
