    About the role#

    This is a full-time, paid internship at TCOM, L.P. We offer a rolling term for students to gain practical experience in defense and space manufacturing. You will work on-site in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

    What you'll do#

    • Learn the product development process while managing your own design project.
    • Document testing and design phases throughout your project.
    • Provide engineering support to internal teams and external customers on current projects.
    • Perform technical work and apply your engineering skills to real tasks.
    • Work both independently and as part of a team.
    • Present your project findings at the end of the summer.
    • Demonstrate the guiding principles of Aerostar.

    What you'll need#

    • At least 2 years of progress toward a bachelor degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering.
    • Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at once.
    • Strong communication skills when working with team members and leadership.
    • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
    • Hands on experience in manufacturing, testing, or lab settings is a plus.
    • Familiarity with SolidWorks, Matlab, or Python is preferred.
