About the role#
We are looking for a student intern to join our Canada Safety team. You will support workplace safety, hazard identification, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role provides hands-on experience with safety management practices and stakeholder collaboration. You will work alongside experienced professionals to apply your academic knowledge to real-world projects.
What you'll do#
- Support workplace safety and health initiatives.
- Assist with hazard identification and risk mitigation activities.
- Participate in safety program implementation and continuous improvement efforts.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support safety objectives.
- Analyze safety-related information and contribute to reporting and documentation.
- Support day-to-day safety management processes and projects.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Industrial Hygiene or Safety degree program.
- Completion of at least one academic term prior to May 2027.
- Returning to full-time studies immediately following the work term.
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the term.
- A safety mindset in both professional and personal settings.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze information and deal with ambiguity.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and personal development.
- Ability to exhibit TC Energy corporate values.

- Location: Calgary, Alberta.
