About the role#
This is a paid, 40-hour per week internship for Summer 2027. You will gain a realistic preview of the Executive Team Leader role through a hands-on training program. You will work alongside mentors and other managers to understand how the retail business operates and what is required to succeed in a management position. This program focuses on developing your leadership skills and preparing you for potential future store leadership roles.
What you'll do#
- Learn how to drive guest experience and impact store financial, team, and operational performance.
- Work alongside a mentor to learn how to lead a department within the store.
- Spend your time on the sales floor and in the backroom leading team members.
- Address team member concerns and remove hurdles to ensure smooth operations.
- Deliver an exceptional guest experience by engaging with guests and ensuring team members are ready to assist them.
- Lead daily priorities, such as stocking shelves, building displays, and maintaining a welcoming environment.
- Partner with leaders to provide performance feedback to team members.
- Participate in daily huddles, plan daily goals, and organize tasks within the store.
What you'll need#

- Previous retail experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to handle merchandise, including frequently lifting up to 44 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders and operate handheld scanners.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Operations Management, or Human Resources.
