About the role#
This is a paid, full-time, hands-on summer internship program designed to prepare you for store leadership. You will work alongside an Executive Team Lead mentor to gain a realistic preview of the Assistant Store Manager role. Throughout the program, you will develop your business acumen by working across multiple areas of the store and learning how to lead a retail team.
What you'll do#
- Drive guest experience and impact your store’s financial, team, and operational performance.
- Lead and support daily operations by working with team members to build culture and achieve goals.
- Motivate team members, drive sales results, and merchandise products.
- Partner with leaders to provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to team members.
- Ensure team members are knowledgeable to provide an exceptional guest experience.
- Plan daily goals and organize priorities within the store.
- Review business reports and guest insights to identify and troubleshoot opportunities.
What you'll need#
- A strong interest in retail management.
- Leadership skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to learn and adapt to current technology needs.
- Effective communication skills.
- Previous retail experience is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lift or move merchandise up to 44 pounds.
- Pursuit of a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Human Resources.
Location & details#
- This role is located in Beaverton, Hillsboro, Portland, and Tigard, Oregon.
- This is an on-site, full-time position for Summer 2027.
- The pay range is $28.25 - $31.25 per hour.
