About the role#
Talcott Financial Group offers a ten-week summer internship within our Enterprise Risk Management team. You will gain business experience and on-the-job training while working alongside risk and actuarial professionals. This role requires you to work from our Hartford office on a hybrid schedule.
What you'll do#
- Participate in Risk Governance and Reporting, Financial Risk Oversight, or Operational Risk Oversight functions.
- Engage in projects guided by training in market dynamics and industry fundamentals.
- Complete a project linked to the strategic priorities of the ERM team.
- Present your project findings to the team at the conclusion of the internship.
- Attend educational workshops and network with professionals across the organization.
What you'll need#
- Status as a rising junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Accounting, Insurance, or Economics.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel, including the use of formulas and functions.
- Ability to partner effectively with functional areas such as Finance, IT, Actuarial, and Operations.
- Innovative and collaborative problem-solving skills.
