About the role#
The Communications Internship at Talcott Financial Group provides an opportunity to work directly with our communications team. You will partner with employees across the organization to create content that keeps our stakeholders informed. This is a paid, full-time summer program.
What you'll do#
- Support internal and external corporate communication messaging.
- Create written and digital marketing materials to help with employee engagement.
- Use social media to promote Talcott events.
- Maintain and update the SharePoint employee intranet site.
- Draft and proofread various employee communications.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate or graduate student status in journalism, communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to accurately proofread and edit corporate documents.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of LinkedIn and other social media platforms.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

- Location: Hartford, Connecticut.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: Hybrid (onsite in Hartford on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
