About the role#
Talcott Financial Group is seeking an intern for our Internal Audit team. This is a paid, full-time position based in our Hartford, Connecticut office. You will work on a hybrid schedule while gaining direct exposure to our business operations and senior leadership. Please note that this role does not offer visa sponsorship.
What you'll do#
- Support risk-based audit procedures.
- Help assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls.
- Develop a project linked to the department’s strategic priorities and present your findings to the team at the end of the term.
- Participate in educational workshops and peer networking events to build your professional skills.
What you'll need#
- You are a rising junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Accounting, Economics, Risk, or Insurance.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.4 or better.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel, including the use of formulas and functions.
- Strong analytical and risk assessment skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with other functional areas.
