About the role#
Syska Hennessy Group is hiring a Plumbing Engineering Summer Intern for our New York office. This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027. You will work on-site with our engineering teams to support the design of electrical systems and participate in our intern education program.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineers in preparing design documentation.
- Create AutoCAD and Revit drawings of electrical systems.
- Help with design calculations and sizing for building electrical systems.
- Join engineers for field investigations and construction site visits.
- Attend lunch-and-learn sessions as part of the intern education program.
What you'll need#
- You must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
- You must have completed at least your second year of studies.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite is required.
- Basic knowledge in design and calculation software is expected.
- Previous engineering internship or co-op experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with the latest versions of MEP AutoCAD and Revit is a plus.

- Compensation: $26 to $28 per hour, depending on experience and skills.
