About the role#
Syska Hennessy Group is hiring an Electrical Engineer Summer Intern for our San Diego office. This internship provides hands-on experience in MEP engineering through project work and our internal education program. You will work alongside our engineering teams to develop technical skills and gain exposure to the industry.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineers in preparing design documentation.
- Create electrical system drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Help with design calculations and the sizing of building electrical systems.
- Participate in field investigations and construction site visits to observe project progress.
- Attend lunch-and-learn sessions as part of the intern education program.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor degree program for Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering at an accredited university.
- Completion of at least your second year of study.
- Basic knowledge of design and calculation software.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
- Previous engineering internship or co-op experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with the latest versions of MEP AutoCAD and Revit is a plus.

- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: This is an on-site, full-time, paid position.
- Pay range: $22 to $25 USD per hour.
