About the role#
SXSW is hiring a Marketing Intern to assist with paid campaigns, partner communication, and content creator outreach. You will support marketing efforts for both SXSW EDU and the SXSW Conferences and Festivals. This role provides insight into how marketing funnels function across different departments and how to manage advertising campaigns on platforms like Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Google.
What you'll do#
- Assist with paid marketing campaigns.
- Manage communication with potential partners and content creators.
- Work with cross-functional teams to keep projects aligned.
- Support the production and onsite execution of marketing operations for events.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited university or college.
- Current residence in Texas.
- Proficiency in G-Suite products including Gmail, Sheets, and Docs.
- Knowledge of social media platforms and key marketing metrics like CTR, CPA, and ROI.
- Majors in Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Austin, Texas, and requires on-site work.
- The term runs from Fall 2026 through Winter 2027.
- You must be available for up to 16 hours per week, with potential for 40 hours during event weeks.
- This is a paid position.
