About the role#
This full-time position at Riverside Pain Physicians in Jacksonville Beach offers hands-on clinical experience for students and professionals in fields such as nursing, public health, health administration, biomedical sciences, and psychology. The role combines medical scribing with clinical assistant duties, requiring a consistent presence on-site from Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
What you'll do#
- Document patient encounters in real time within the EMR.
- Capture medical histories, physical exam findings, and treatment plans as directed by the provider.
- Obtain and document patient vital signs.
- Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during clinical visits.
- Record lab, imaging, and procedure results.
- Track orders, follow-ups, and communications.
- Support medication reconciliation and clinical follow-up.
- Maintain exam rooms and ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and finalized in a timely manner.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance at all times.
What you'll need#
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to document information in real time.
- Excellent typing and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a clinical environment.
- A professional, reliable, and team-oriented approach.
- Preferred qualifications include previous experience as a medical scribe, medical assistant, or EMT, as well as familiarity with EMR systems and medical terminology.

- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
- Compensation: $20 to $21 per hour.
