About the role#
Superior Construction is seeking a Project Engineer Intern for our Summer 2027 program. This is a full-time, 12-week internship based in Orlando, Florida. You will work on-site at heavy civil and highway construction locations, supporting our project management team in the execution of infrastructure projects.
What you'll do#
- Support the project management team with subcontractor and supplier coordination.
- Handle material tracking, file management, and document control, including submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
- Prepare progress reports and learn to interpret construction plans.
- Gain experience in estimating, schedule planning, project controls, and project reporting.
- Interact with clients, managers, and coworkers with a high level of professionalism.
- Travel as needed between the project site and corporate office.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, or a related field.
- Must be taking at least one class in the semester or quarter before the internship begins.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong time management, teamwork, and communication skills.
- A positive attitude toward learning and professional development, paired with a commitment to ethical conduct.
- Knowledge of route surveying and scheduling.
- A valid state driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from the assigned project office.

- Note: The work environment includes outdoor conditions such as heat, humidity, dust, and asphalt, and you may be exposed to loud noise and moving mechanical parts.
