About the role#
This is a summer internship for 2027. You will collaborate with the team to manage and execute construction projects safely. You will spend 80% of your time in the field and 20% in the office. This is a part-time, on-site position based in Orlando, Florida.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the implementation of project-specific HSE plans, safe work practices, and job hazard analyses.
- Perform at least one HSE work site inspection per week.
- Help monitor the use of personal protective equipment and worker orientations.
- Support the Task Hazard Analysis Program and conduct THA audits.
- Report health, safety, and environmental infractions and document corrective measures.
- Assist with incident investigations, HSE report reviews, and emergency procedure communication.
- Develop and communicate statistical HSE information.
- Attend project or department meetings and assist with project training.
What you'll need#
- Currently working toward a bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health and Safety, or a similar field.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- A valid state driver’s license.
- Reliable transportation to and from the project office or site.
