About the role#
As an Estimating Intern at Superior Construction, you will join our team to assist with the preparation of construction bids and budgets for heavy civil and highway projects. This is a full-time, paid internship that offers hands-on experience in the construction industry.
What you'll do#
- Assist with construction estimates and project budgets.
- Perform basic plan reading and quantity takeoffs.
- Evaluate quotes from subcontractors and vendors.
- Analyze historical production and cost data.
- Track project budgets and costs.
- Attend prebid, owner, and bid review meetings.
- Conduct project site visits.
What you'll need#
- Currently working towards a bachelor's degree in construction, Engineering, or a relevant field.
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university.
- Knowledge of general construction practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Reliable transportation to and from our main office.
