About the role#
As a Corporate Finance Intern, you will join the Strategic Finance team. You will build unit economics and financial models that help determine if new products, features, or growth experiments receive funding. This role offers exposure to key projects within Strategic Finance, Corporate Development, and Investor Relations. You will work on real initiatives that impact the company and its customers.
What you'll do#
- Build unit economics frameworks and custom financial models to inform go or no-go decisions.
- Pressure test the financial attractiveness of proposed initiatives, including break-even lift, payback periods, and contribution per member.
- Partner with Growth, Product, and Analytics teams to model the financial impact of investment choices.
- Collaborate with the data team to track post-launch product performance and identify variances from original plans.
- Translate financial results and KPIs into clear readouts for leadership and stakeholders.
- Assist with additional Corporate Finance projects, such as market screens and diligence support.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or another quantitative field.
- Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
- Working knowledge of financial modeling, including driver-based forecasts, cohort retention, LTV, CAC, and contribution margin.
- Sharp analytical skills and the ability to use data to tell a story.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and solve problems creatively.
- Willingness to learn in an ambiguous environment.
- Exposure to SQL or BI tools like Snowflake, Looker, or Amplitude is a plus.
Location & details#
- Term: Winter 2027 (January 4, 2027 to April 30, 2027).
- Modality: Remote, with candidates based in Canada.
- Availability: 40-hour work week with a minimum 6-hour overlap with the Eastern Time Zone.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
- Benefits: Includes a home office allowance of $300, a weekly Friday UberEats allowance of $25, a learning allowance of $300, and a wellness allowance of $120.
