About the role#
Sub-Zero Group is hiring Engineering Co-ops for our new facility in Cedar Rapids. These positions provide paid, hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. You will work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, for an 8-month term. We have openings for both Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Assurance Engineering roles.
What you'll do#
- Support the start-up of our new facility in Fabrication or Assembly engineering.
- Apply Industrial and Mechanical Engineering principles to improve manufacturing processes.
- Analyze procedures and design fixtures to increase productivity and efficiency.
- Develop facility layouts using CAD software.
- Create procedures for new equipment and lead continuous improvement projects.
- Assist in improving quality systems, including testing refrigeration and cooking systems.
- Focus on data capture and analysis to enhance product quality.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to work a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week.
- Willingness to complete a pre-employment drug test.

- This role is based on-site in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
- The position is a paid co-op assignment.
