About the role#
As a Structural Engineering Intern, you will work alongside engineers and designers on the analysis, design, and assessment of building and infrastructure systems. You will gain hands-on experience with structural materials, modeling tools, and construction documents while contributing to active projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist with structural calculations, models, drawings, details, and project reports.
- Support the analysis and design of steel, concrete, masonry, and timber systems.
- Participate in project meetings, site visits, and field observations.
- Coordinate with design and construction teams.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor or master degree program in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Completed coursework in statics, mechanics of materials, structural analysis, or design.
- Basic understanding of structural systems and engineering calculations.
- Basic proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, or structural analysis tools and Microsoft Office.
- Internship, co-op, research, or project experience related to structural engineering is preferred.
- Familiarity with RISA, RAM, Mathcad, or similar software is a plus.
- Involvement in ASCE, SEI, or related engineering organizations is preferred.

- Location: Vancouver, Washington.
- Type: Full-time, on-site internship.
- Term: Rolling.
- Compensation: 20 - 25 USD per hour.
