About the role#
Steer is looking for an intern to support our Transportation Demand Management (TDM) team. You will work primarily on our GoNoCo34 Transportation Management Organization (TMO) project in Northern Colorado, covering the US 34 corridor from Kersey to Estes Park. This role reports to the Executive Director of the GoNoCo34 TMO and offers opportunities to assist with other transportation planning projects, including the Burbank TMO in Southern California. This is a paid, part-time position.
What you'll do#
- Represent the TMO at community events, both in person and online.
- Act as a liaison for TMO members and stakeholders.
- Design email marketing and social media campaigns.
- Coordinate website updates for members, events, and flyers.
- Capture minutes for monthly board meetings.
- Support membership growth by engaging with local employers, developers, and non-profits.
- Manage administrative tasks such as bus pass orders and vanpool incentive programs.
- Assist with marketing design, mapping, report writing, and data analysis.
What you'll need#
- Experience with stakeholder outreach, social media, and email marketing software.
- Proficiency in Canva and GIS.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with the public.
- Interest in transportation and outreach.
- Enrollment in or completion of studies in Urban Planning, Communications, Public Health, or Environmental Engineering.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Northern Colorado with locations in Loveland, Fort Collins, and Greeley.
- The position operates on a hybrid schedule.
- This is a part-time, non-exempt role with a rolling term.
