About the role#
Stantec is seeking an Engineering Co-op Student for a 16-month term within the Process Water group in Calgary. This full-time position runs from May 2027 through August 2028. You will contribute to the planning, design, and delivery of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects while working alongside experienced practitioners.
What you'll do#
- Provide general support to engineers and technologists within the Process Water group.
- Support the field construction and commissioning team by monitoring and reporting on current construction activities.
- Assist the commissioning lead with startup activities.
- Manage onsite documentation, including deficiency reviews, asset management, and quality assurance.
- Utilize engineering concepts to generate preliminary calculations and reports.
- Review project drawings and conduct audits on design elements.
- Perform due diligence and research to support new projects.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a 3rd or 4th year student in Civil, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A valid driver’s licence and a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to organize work, manage multiple tasks, and follow directions.
- Strong attention to detail.
- A willingness to learn, ask questions, and contribute to problem-solving.
- A professional, respectful, and positive communication style.
