About the role#
As a Global Logistics Intern, you will join the Global Logistics team to improve how the company uses data, analytics, and technology to manage its global logistics network. You will gain hands-on experience working with real-world data while supporting projects focused on visibility, predictive analytics, cost optimization, and operational performance.
What you'll do#
- Develop logistics dashboards and analytics to provide visibility into transportation spend, shipment volumes, service performance, transit times, and carrier performance.
- Apply predictive analytics to logistics data to identify trends, anticipate potential issues, and improve transportation planning.
- Analyze transportation volume and spend data to identify optimization opportunities, such as cost reductions, mode optimization, and shipment consolidations.
- Explore opportunities to use AI, automation, and advanced analytics to improve logistics processes and reporting.
- Support improvements to logistics data quality, reporting automation, and KPI standardization across systems.
- Conduct targeted analyses and develop business cases for logistics improvement opportunities.
- Contribute to strategic carrier business reviews.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Strong academic performance and a demonstrated interest in supply chain management, logistics, and analytics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, data manipulation, and analytical modeling.
- Ability to translate complex data into clear insights, recommendations, and visualizations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Attention to detail with an emphasis on data accuracy and validation.
- A continuous-improvement mindset.
- Must be authorized to work in the US.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred qualifications include previous internship or work experience in supply chain, logistics, or analytics. Experience with Power BI, SQL, Python, R, or Alteryx is a plus, as is exposure to machine learning or optimization techniques.
