About the role#
Triangle Implant Center in Wilson is seeking a Clinical Intern to join our specialty practice. This role is designed for students pursuing dental, medical, or anesthesia school. You will gain hands-on experience and clinical hours to support your future applications. Our surgeons are available to provide letters of recommendation for successful interns who plan to advance their careers in these fields.
What you'll do#
As a clinical intern, you will support our surgeons, anesthesiologists, and dental assistants to ensure efficient patient care and office operations. Your daily responsibilities include:
- Verifying procedures, consent forms, and required paperwork.
- Preparing surgical trays for procedures like extractions, implants, biopsies, and jaw fractures.
- Stocking anesthesia supplies and maintaining laundry and fresh gowns.
- Sterilizing instruments and trays.
- Preparing patients for surgery by placing monitors such as EKG leads, pulse oximeters, and blood pressure cuffs.
- Supporting the patient's airway and head position during surgery.
- Monitoring and charting vital signs.
- Providing post-operative care and reviewing instructions with patient escorts.
- Logging medications and scanning charts into the EMR system.
- Cleaning and restocking rooms between procedures.
- Coordinating additional office responsibilities as needed.
What you'll need#
We look for candidates who are collaborative, detail-oriented, and able to function under pressure. You should be comfortable working in a surgical environment and maintaining professional rapport with patients and team members.
- Currently pursuing dental, medical, or anesthesia school.
- Knowledge of OSHA and CDC guidelines for infection control.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- Physical ability to sit or stand for extended periods, assist patients in and out of chairs, and perform repetitive hand movements.
- Capacity to respond quickly in emergency situations.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules.

- Compensation: $8 to $10 per hour.
