About the role#
This position is for a Radiologic Technologist Student within the Cardiac Cath Lab. You will work under the direct supervision of a registered Radiological Technologist to provide imaging services and support basic radiographic duties. This is a per diem, part time role with scheduled hours from 0800 to 1630.
What you'll do#
- Prepare patients for exams by verifying their identity and explaining procedures.
- Position patients and ensure their comfort and safety.
- Assist technologists with routine diagnostic imaging, including room setup and supply preparation.
- Apply radiation protection standards and use the ALARA principle to minimize exposure.
- Document patient information accurately.
- Assist physicians during various imaging procedures.
- Prepare and administer medications or contrast media within your scope of practice.
- Transport patients to and from imaging areas as needed.
- Follow all regulatory standards, including HIPAA and OSHA policies.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment in a Radiography program.
- A Temporary Student Radiography License through the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (KBMIRT) within 30 days of starting.
- BLS certification as a Healthcare Provider within 90 days of starting.
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to work in a stressful environment.

- This is an on-site, per diem position.
