About the role#
The Financial Analyst Intern will join the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team to gain hands-on experience in the energy industry. You will assist with core financial processes and contribute to strategic projects, including western expansion efforts. This role provides exposure to leadership through the preparation of materials for director-level review and requires a blend of technical analysis and clear communication.
What you'll do#
- Support the annual budget preparation and monthly close processes.
- Assist with data preparation, variance analysis, and financial model updates.
- Evaluate the financial performance of various projects and lines of business.
- Draft budget commentary and prepare presentation materials for directors.
- Contribute to financial planning and strategic decision-making.
- Deliver a final presentation at the end of the term to share your findings and lessons learned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program or higher in finance, accounting, or business administration.
- Completion of at least three years of undergraduate coursework or entering your senior year by the start of the internship.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Analytical ability to interpret financial data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well with others across different departments.
Location & details#
- Location: Little Rock, Arkansas.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Format: On-site, full-time (Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.).
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
