About the role#
Southwest Power Pool offers a full-time, paid internship for the summer of 2027. You will work on-site in Little Rock, Arkansas, for 10 to 12 weeks. This role focuses on corporate communications, where you will assist in developing content for internal and external audiences. You will work alongside experienced professionals to learn how communication supports the energy industry.
What you'll do#
- Create written, visual, and digital content for websites, intranets, social media, email, and presentations.
- Support audience research and surveys to measure how well communications reach their intended targets.
- Design and format branded templates, reports, and presentations.
- Draft messaging for various audiences.
- Assist with the planning and execution of stakeholder meetings and special events through logistics and material preparation.
What you'll need#
- You must be a college student pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in communications, journalism, marketing, public relations, or a related field.
- You must be entering your senior year or have completed at least three years of undergraduate coursework.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA is required.
- Strong skills in writing, editing, and verbal communication.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to work on-site in Little Rock, Arkansas, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
