About the role#
Join Southwest Power Pool for a summer internship focused on identity and access management. You will gain hands-on experience in maintaining security architecture for IT systems. You will work alongside subject matter experts to support cybersecurity controls and protect information assets. This role involves assisting with the design and management of processes that align with enterprise security strategies.
What you'll do#
- Support daily operations including provisioning, de-provisioning, and access reviews.
- Conduct data analysis and cleanup to meet compliance and audit requirements.
- Assist with system maintenance, patching, and troubleshooting of IAM applications.
- Participate in user acceptance and performance testing for system updates.
- Help develop and document security policies, procedures, and standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with cybersecurity strategies.
What you'll need#
- Current college student entering your senior year.
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Strong interest in cybersecurity, IT systems, and technology solutions.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Location: Little Rock, Arkansas.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Modality: On-site and hybrid options available.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
