Associate Product Manager Intern

About the role#

This is a 12-month internship position for the Fall 2026 term. You will be based on-site at the SOTI headquarters in Mississauga, Ontario. This full-time role involves working across the product life cycle, from initial strategic planning to tactical implementation.

What you'll do#

• Participate in the full product life cycle, including strategic planning and tactical execution.
• Research customer and market requirements to inform product development.
• Write requirements using Agile methodology and develop wireframes.
• Perform Product Owner duties, such as conducting sprint planning and review meetings, authoring user stories, and managing the product backlog.
• Maintain the product roadmap by prioritizing solutions that align with business goals.
• Collaborate daily with software developers and testers.
• Assist Marketing in the creation of product collateral and sales tools.
• Train sales and technical support teams on product operations.
• Conduct product demonstrations for partners and prospective clients.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a degree program for Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration, IT, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• A solid understanding of current software technologies, industry trends, and strategies.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively share ideas with team members and management.
• A passion for modern technology and an eagerness to learn new tools and techniques.
• Ability to consider software design from a user experience perspective, covering both function and aesthetics.
• Professional confidence when interfacing with a wide spectrum of customers.
