Quality Assurance Specialist Intern, SOTI XSight

About the role#

This is a 12-month internship position for the Fall 2026 term, focusing on the SOTI XSight product. You will work within an agile development team to ensure the quality of software offerings through rigorous testing and collaboration.

What you'll do#

• Design and develop test plans and test cases based on technical specifications and software requirements.
• Create, implement, and maintain test coverage for web and mobile applications.
• Conduct various types of testing throughout the feature development process and release cycle.
• Prioritize testing tasks and scenarios, while tracking and reporting on testing activities.
• Collaborate with test teams to support quality-focused initiatives and process improvements.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in a post-secondary program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), test strategies, and planning.
• Understanding of algorithms, data structures, and database fundamentals.
• Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: C, C++, Java, JavaScript, SQL, Ruby, Rust, Lua, or Haskell.
• Familiarity with web and mobile application testing, web services, the OSI model, and TCP/IP networking principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, paired with a curiosity to learn.
