About the role#
This is a 12-month internship position for the Fall 2026 term, based at the SOTI headquarters in Mississauga, Ontario. You will join the SOTI XSight team to support software quality assurance processes within an agile development environment.
What you'll do#
- Design and develop test plans and test cases based on software requirements and technical specifications.
- Create, implement, and maintain test coverage for web and mobile applications.
- Conduct various types of testing throughout the feature development process and release cycle.
- Prioritize testing tasks, scenarios, and test cases while tracking and reporting on testing activities.
- Collaborate with test teams and contribute to QA process improvements to ensure consistency across product lines.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program for Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of programming in one or more languages, including C, C++, Java, JavaScript, SQL, Ruby, Rust, Lua, or Haskell.
- Understanding of algorithms, data structures, and database fundamentals.
- Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) concepts, test strategies, and planning.
- Knowledge of web and mobile application testing, web services, the OSI model, and TCP/IP networking principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with a desire to learn and work in a team.
