This role will be based out of the Nordion facility in Ottawa. Reporting to the Manager, Project Services, the Engineering student will support the various engineering groups. The primary responsibilities may include: Work independently and/or collaborate with other engineering staff to deliver project milestonesDesign concepts and modelling in 3D CADFilling out project related documentation and assisting in project administrationSourcing components through vendorsHand calculations and FEA modellingPerform equipment testing and writing test reportsGathering information through conversation and job shadowing to write and revise operating procedures for Engineering and Operations personnel andFrequent interaction with interdisciplinary Nordion team members The REQUIREMENTS We are looking for candidates who are:Collaborative: Use strong interpersonal skills to actively listen and communicate in ways that foster trust and show flexibility.
